Service Description

*An online-only, self-study course launching at the end of May 2024. Available now at the pre-launch price of just £75 (full price £95).* *No schedule requirements, complete this 8-lesson learning anytime at your leisure.* Thinking about how we look at the major art movements that have dominated Western studies of the history of art today, and what we might bring into that understanding as contemporary viewers. Considering issues of class, race, gender, power and politics this course will offer a fresh consideration for those who have studied art history before and a solid grounding for those newer to thinking about history through its art objects. You do not need to be an artist to complete this course, this is for anyone thinking about what it means to be an audience of art in 2024. Your ticket will give you full access to the 8 modules of the course, a proposed reading list, challenges, a video mini-lecture for each week of the programme, and access to a digital community of like-minded learners where you can continue and expand the conversation.
